    Went here for both breakfast and Sunday roast. The place feels a bit outdated but the service makes up for it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was a small crowd. Standard full english. Eggs seem to have been out for a bit. Sunday roast was quite busy. No complaints about the food. Standard Sunday roast. Nothing spectacular. Just a decent, cheap meal with a great environment to spend time with friends/ family.Vegetarian options: Vegetables, chips, Yorkshire pudding, mushrooms etcParking: Can be a bit packed on a Sunday for roast. Other times usually lots of spaces available.

    As no stars isn't an option, I've given one star. My recent visit isn't even worthy of that.No cutlery or condiments on the table we were allocated to and no cutlery on almost all of the tables. I had to wander around the restaurant and take two sets of knives and forks from another table.No choice of meat available, only pork and gammon, of which there was very little left, and a dried up lamb carcass that looked to have been there for hours. The gammon was OK, but the pork was terrible, full of fat and gristle.Complained to a female staff member, who said they'd be getting a food delivery at am the following morning, which was no good to us. Upon paying I advised the server our meals had been extremely poor, she was very indifferent and seemed a bit embarrassed. very sub-standard meals for the price paid. We have visited this branch regularly and although sometimes it's been a bit below average, have never felt this level of dissatisfaction. We'll not be returning.

    Thank you to all the staff at Toby Carvery (Watergate Toll)Myself and a couple of friends visited you for the first time this week. The service was brilliant. Food was spot on - well cooked, tasty and lots to chose from off the menu.A special mention must go to our waiter, George; nothing was too much trouble. He was warm, friendly and constantly smiling. What a breath of fresh air!!We will definitely be returning

    Usual toby carvery food. Decent enough. Unfortunately there was a wait to be seen by anyone to be seated. There was a really long wait at the carvery to be served. They’d ran out of various items, including gravy so people were waiting for that for a long time. The sticky toffee pudding was dry. The woman that looked after us was lovely and really made us feel welcome.
